Delete Your Speakmo Account

This page explains how to delete your account for the Speakmo app (Android and iOS) and website, developed by Speakmo, Inc., and what happens to your data when you do.

1. How to request deletion

By email:

1. Email hello@speakmo.com with the subject "Delete my Speakmo account".
2. Send it from the email address you signed up with, and include your Speakmo username.
3. We may reply to confirm the request comes from you before deleting anything.
4. We delete your account within 30 days and email you once it's done.

Or do it yourself: sign in at speakmo.com, open your profile, go to Settings, choose Delete Account and confirm with your username. Your account is deleted immediately.

2. What we delete

• Your account, login credentials and profile (name, username, email, bio and photo)
• Your voice notes, including audio, transcripts, titles, tags and cover images
• Your likes, saves, followers and following
• Your notifications

3. What we keep

• If other people have replied to or commented on one of your voice notes, that note's recording stays in the conversation as "Deleted Voice Note", with its title, tags, cover image and link removed, so their replies still make sense. If you want these removed too, say so in your email and we'll delete them.
• Comments you left on other people's voice notes stay, but are shown as "Deleted User".
• Data in our backups is removed as the backups expire, within 30 days. We may keep information longer only where the law requires it (for example, for tax, fraud prevention or legal claims).
